In Borderlands 4 you will once again be able to collect various legendary weapons. A few are already known – at least partially. MeinMMO presents them to you.
What kind of weapons are these? We are collecting all legendary weapons that have been introduced by Gearbox Software or established online magazines. Sometimes only the legendary perks of the respective weapons are known, and sometimes we only know their names.
In total, the Borderlands 4 community has already discovered 59 legendary weapons (via kilo-works.notion). However, in this article, we have focused on the weapons that were presented by Gearbox or that have been seen in streams and gameplay videos and whose source we could verify.
Previously Confirmed Legendary Weapons from Borderlands 4
Forsaken Chaos
What kind of weapon is this? Forsaken Chaos is a legendary weapon whose name was determined by a community vote (via X). Each participant voted for a word that was to become part of the name later. In the final, “Forsaken” competed against “Exile.” The winner represents the first half of the name. The second half should consist of either “Havoc” or “Chaos.”
Shortly before the release of Borderlands 4, players will have the opportunity to secure the Forsaken Chaos for free.
The perks and the weapon type of the firearm are not yet known.
Legendary Submachine Gun by Maliwan
What kind of weapon is this? The legendary submachine gun is included in the “Gilded Glory Pack” and is thus part of the pre-order bonuses. It fires spinning projectiles and is from the weapon manufacturer “Maliwan.” The name of the weapon is not yet known.
Legendary Grenade by Ripper
What kind of weapon is this? This is a legendary grenade from the weapon manufacturer “Ripper.” It is also part of the “Gilded Glory” pack and is supposed to teleport back and forth between close enemies and deal damage with each bounce. The name of the weapon is not yet known.
Legendary Explosive by Torgue
What kind of weapon is this? The legendary explosive is supposed to combine the characteristic aspects of the weapon manufacturers “Torgue” and “Jakobs” and shoot high-speed rockets that can bounce off hit opponents and hit additional enemies. This is the third legendary weapon that is part of the “Gilded Glory” pack. The name of the weapon is not yet known.
Legendary Assault Rifle by Daedalus
What kind of weapon is this? The fourth and final legendary weapon of the “Gilded Glory” pack (and the pre-order bonuses) is an assault rifle from the weapon manufacturer “Daedalus.” This assault rifle is supposed to guarantee critical hits when an opponent is at full health. Subsequently, the chance for critical hits decreases proportionally with the declining health of the respective opponent. The name of the weapon is not yet known.
Legendary Weapons from Borderlands 4 on Social Media
In addition to the 5 already confirmed legendary weapons from Borderlands 4, there are other firearms that have been seen in various gameplay videos and online media. We also present them here.
Vestigial Complex Root
What kind of weapon is this? An attentive gamer discovered the legendary sniper rifle “Vestigial Complex Root” while watching a stream and shared a screenshot on Reddit. The rifle has the special property that it spawns additional, flying projectiles with each shot.
The rifle could be a kind of successor to the “Complex Root” which existed in Borderlands 3 and generated additional projectiles upon impact with a target, which flew in random directions.
Husky Friend
What kind of weapon is this? The “Husky Friend” is said to be a shotgun from the weapon manufacturer “Tediore,” which can place a so-called Husky turret as a secondary fire that then automatically shoots at your enemies.
Fully Loaded Slippy & Watching Phantom Flame
The streamer and YouTuber Moxsy received some golden keys from the developers at a play event for Borderlands 4 and was able to open the golden chest with them (via YouTube). He pulled the legendary weapons “Fully Loaded Slippy” and “Watching Phantom Flame,” as well as a legendary shield with the keys.
Fully Loaded Slippy
What kind of weapon is this? “Fully Loaded Slippy” is a legendary grenade that deals melee damage through the legendary property “Swordfish.”
Watching Phantom Flame
What kind of weapon is this? “Watching Phantom Flame” is a legendary pistol that allows you to target enemies through the scope after a few seconds, allowing you to fire guaranteed hits. If you shoot while aiming through the scope, the entire magazine will also be emptied – almost like Cassidy’s ultimate from Overwatch.
