On the PTR of World of Warcraft, Nazjatar is playable. We will show you what rewards you can snag there.
Currently, the Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara is being tested on the public test server. More and more features and content are being added to the patch. Nazjatar is also largely implemented and can be played. The new currency there is “Prismatic Mana Pearls,” which you can use to purchase many rewards. We will reveal what rewards will be available.
Enhancements for gear: For many players, upgrading the Benthonic gear will likely be the most important. This is primarily done through badges that can be purchased with Mana Pearls. The gear starts at item level 385 and can then be upgraded with the following items:
- Azsharite Pearl Set: Upgrades a Benthonic item to item level 400. Costs 20 Mana Pearls.
- Azsharite Pearl Upgrade: Increases the item level of a Benthonic item (minimum item level 400) by 5 item levels, up to a maximum of 430. Costs 10 Mana Pearls.
- Azsharite Azerite Pearl Upgrade: Increases the item level of a Benthonic item (minimum item level 400) by 15 item levels, up to a maximum of 430. Costs 30 Mana Pearls.
New mounts and pets: The two factions, Ankoan (Alliance) and Unshackled (Horde), each have a mount available. However, it costs a hefty 250 Mana Pearls, which will require a lot of farming.
The Ankoans offer the Ankoan Wave Ray:
The Unshackled, on the other hand, offer the Unshackled Wave Ray:
Both factions, however, have this pet available for 40 Mana Pearls, the Mother of Pearl Shell:
New essences for the Heart of Azeroth: Additionally, you can exchange Mana Pearls for new essences for the Heart of Azeroth. This is a new feature that allows you to equip additional abilities to your necklace.
- Memory of the Clear Dream: All versions of this essence are available for purchase. For 5 (uncommon), 25 (rare), 50 (epic), and 75 (legendary) Mana Pearls.
- The Unrestrained Power: The uncommon (10 Mana Pearls) and rare (25 Mana Pearls) versions of this essence are available for purchase.
- Aegis of the Depths: The uncommon (10 Mana Pearls) and rare (25 Mana Pearls) versions of this essence are available for purchase.
What are Prismatic Mana Pearls? The Prismatic Mana Pearls are the new currency of Nazjatar. You can obtain them through world quests, by defeating rare enemies, or from treasure chests in the area. Those who want to collect a lot of Mana Pearls will have to spend a lot of time in Nazjatar and likely complete a few world quests or go treasure hunting every day.
These are just the rewards from the two reputation factions in Nazjatar. There are many other rewards from rare enemies, quests, and secrets.
When does Patch 8.2 come out? There is still no exact release date for Patch 8.2, and Blizzard has not yet commented on it. However, the most likely estimates are the end of May or early June. This would correspond to the previous rhythm of patches for World of Warcraft.
