These two German gamers are known in the League of Legends (LoL) scene and have now landed jobs in Deadpool 2. Will you recognize their voices in the cinema?
For two team members from the EU-LCS team “Unicorns of Love”, there is an interesting entry in their resume. They are now part of the German version of Deadpool 2 – as voice actors.
LoL professionals coming to the cinema soon, already excited
Fabian “Sheepy” Mallant and Fabian “Exileh” Schubert are coach and mid-laner for the EU-LCS team Unicorns of Love. Both are now part of the team for Deadpool 2 because they are participating with their voices in the German version of the film.
Who are the professionals voicing? Unfortunately, there is currently no information about which characters the two are lending their voices to. However, they have not only hinted at background characters, as they teased the fans on Twitter, challenging them to identify their voices in the film.
No, Sheepy is not voicing Deadpool. In a follow-up video on Twitter, the team shows a conversation between Sheepy and a potential casting director. With a touch of humor, it becomes clear that Sheepy is voicing neither Deadpool nor Cable. Domino is also not voiced by him, as they have already hired a woman for that role.
A deal opens doors
These voice-actor roles are no coincidence. As Forbes reports, the Unicorns of Love team has struck a deal with publisher Twentieth Century Fox for these jobs.
Why the deal is beneficial for both sides: On one hand, the Unicorns of Love benefit from being part of such a major franchise and can rely on cool advertising. For the film Deadpool 2, it opens the doors to a larger audience, namely the LoL players who want to hear the two’s voices in the film.
When does Deadpool 2 hit theaters? Deadpool 2 will premiere in German cinemas on May 17. Then you can try to recognize the voices of the two in the film.
Before examining the film in more detail, League of Legends fans are currently researching a sinister ray – but why?
