The strongest decks in Hearthstone are hardly unbeatable. We reveal to you how you can still succeed with a counter.
Currently, most Hearthstone players are still in the experimentation phase, which is completely normal after the release of a new addon. After all, there are 135 new cards in “Conspiracy of Shadows.”
However, many players have already settled on one or two decks that you encounter repeatedly in standard play. A form of control warrior and a pirate rogue are currently particularly popular.
These are two of the strongest decks in Hearthstone right now:
- The pirate rogue brings back an old favorite: pirates with charge. With the Waggelpick, the rogue can return the charge minions back to hand and allow them to attack again at a discount.
- The control warrior, on the other hand, relies on the archivist Elysiana to prolong the game. Coupled with numerous defensive abilities, armor, and spotters, battles are very long and often extend into fatigue, where the warrior wins purely through endurance.
If you want to join the hype surrounding these two decks, you can find their codes here. You can copy these codes into the clipboard and then paste them into Hearthstone. The game will automatically assemble the corresponding decks for you.

These two decks dominate at almost all ranks and make climbing difficult if you are not playing them yourself. However, if you don’t feel like playing these two decks and are looking for solid counters or alternatives, we will help you.
The Control Mage with Powerful Dragons
Slowly but surely, this deck from Apxvoid is gaining popularity. It proves to be particularly solid against the aforementioned warrior and steadily overwhelms it with increasingly powerful dragons.
In addition, cards like Khadgar, in conjunction with Creation Power, the Astromancer, or Call of the Summoner bring so many minions to the board that the opponent must quickly throw in the towel. However, do not play all your trump cards at once, as warriors still have skirmishes, which can break many a player’s neck.
Thanks to Zilliax and some copies of Rotten Apple Tree, the mage should also have enough self-healing to survive initial attacks and ultimately establish enough dominance with a multitude of powerful minions.

Deathrattle Hunter with Many Spells
Also solid against the prevailing decks and thus on the rise is the Deathrattle Hunter. With various buff cards and a plethora of interactions between the individual deathrattle effects, this version of the hunter can quickly flood the board. At the same time, it can often trigger the deathrattle of its minions without the corresponding minions needing to die.
Combined with many spells, which are triggered once again by the hero card Zul’jin, the hunter can secure its position on the board.
