Senghok owes his presumed position at the top of the Marines to his Devil Fruit. He possesses an exceptionally strong devil power, which allows him to transform into a massive golden Buddha.
In the great Marineford arc, he demonstrated what he can do with his powers: with one punch, he was able to bring the entire gallows crashing down. However, his punch was not strong enough to withstand the character who occupies the 1st place.
However, he can take on most pirates from the Blackbeard crew and Blackbeard himself. In the same arc, he claps his hands, creating shockwaves strong enough to lift all pirates into the air, making them comparable to the shockwaves from Blackbeard’s Devil Fruit.
