In FIFA 19, EA Sports released the FUT Birthday team, featuring some quite unusual cards. You can see the craziest examples here.
This year’s FUT Birthday team includes some big names. The strongest cards are Bale (93) and Griezmann (93), with which you can strengthen your team in FUT 19:
The special thing about the birthday cards: What makes the new FUT Birthday cards so special are the position changes that each card receives. Bale is now positioned as a striker, and Griezmann gets a card for the right wing.
- Bale RF -> ST
- Griezmann ST -> RF
EA has taken inspiration from the past of some football stars for certain position changes. Some of the FUT Birthday cards are based on the players’ previous positions.
No one expected this: Among the new special cards are also some cards with very unusual position changes, which probably no one had on their radar. You can find the craziest cards here.
Virgil Van Dijk (CB) as Striker
This is where the position comes from: At 19 years old, Van Dijk was able to prove his striker qualities at FC Groningen. When they were in need, Van Dijk stepped in and scored 2 goals as a striker for his former club.
This is what the card offers: Van Dijk has an interesting striker card. His physical stats are incredibly good, just like his speed and shot.
However, the card also has significant weaknesses, especially in passing and dribbling. As a result, Van Dijk is quite immobile and therefore can only be used as a penalty area striker.
Perhaps it would be worth considering putting him in the CDM position. This is possible with position modifiers.
Normally, Van Dijk is a center-back.
Ibrahimovic (ST) as Defender
Who would have thought to see Ibrahimovic as a defender? The FUT Birthday makes it possible.
This is what the card offers: The card is actually quite good. His physical stats combined with his good defensive values, speed, and size make Ibrahimovic a solid center-back, with whom you can also take a shot on goal.
“Ibra” is normally a true striker.
Alaba (LB) in Right Midfield
David Alaba, the left-back from Bayern, switches sides and is now operating in right midfield.
This is what the card offers: With Alaba’s FUT Birthday card, we get a very strong card that is likely interesting for many Bundesliga teams. You can use him versatile and even play him as a right winger.
With his stats, Alaba performs well offensively. He is a very strong option for the right wing. When looking closely at his values, it is difficult to find weaknesses.
He is fast, has fantastic shooting scores, is strong in dribbling, and has good passing stats. A well-rounded card.
David Alaba usually plays as a left-back.
Salah (RF) as Left-Back
This is where the position comes from: Salah actually started his career in the Egyptian first league as a left-back. However, it quickly became clear that with his drive towards the goal, he is better suited for an offensive role.
This is what the card offers: Left-Back Salah makes an excellent impression. He is incredibly fast, strong in dribbling, and has very good defensive values. It is also advisable to use his offensive abilities, which he definitely possesses.
Salah is likely a real alternative for the LB position in any Premier League team.
Normally, Salah can be found on the other side of the field: As a right winger.
This is how you get the cards
The sources for these cards:
