Nintendo Switch 2 vs Switch 1: The main differences in detail
Screen size: The display will be significantly larger compared to the old Switch model. How much larger is not officially known. The standard Switch has a 6.2-inch display, while the OLED model has a 7-inch display.
Size of the console and controllers: The Switch 2 has become slightly larger compared to the old model. This also affects the Joy-Cons, which are now somewhat larger. An alternative to the Joy-Cons is the Pro Controller.
Attachment of the Joy-Cons: The new Joy-Cons will no longer be connected to the screen by sliding them down. With the Switch 2, the controllers are simply attached magnetically.
Additional USB port: There is an additional USB-C port next to the headphone jack. This has the advantage that you can connect more devices with the Switch 2, such as adapters for a gaming headset.
New kickstand: The old Switch received criticism for its poorly processed kickstand; the stand was greatly improved in the OLED model. The Switch 2 uses a completely new stand. The Switch 2 can be inclined further back with the new stand than the old models.
