Place 5: Khârn the Betrayer
As the strongest mortal champion of Khorne, Khârn is the embodiment of bloodlust and slaughter. Among all champions, Khârn is the one that the fewest, if any, opponents could defeat in one-on-one combat.
Originally a Captain and later the adjutant to Primarch Angron, Khârn was the first in his legion, the World Eaters, to have slaughter nails implanted in his head – psychic spikes that enhance aggressiveness and brutality.
Khârn’s name alone is enough to instill fear and terror on a battlefield, but in his presence, reality literally distorts. He is surrounded by a blood mist that allows daemons to breach the real space, which normally requires elaborate rituals.
This, along with his legendary weapon that can penetrate any armor, makes him a one-man army. What makes Khârn even more dangerous than Typhus or other champions is that in his bloodlust, he makes no distinctions.
Unlike followers of other gods, Khârn simply wants to kill, which ensures that he can intentionally or unintentionally destabilize a power structure and plunge a part of the galaxy into chaos. His bloodlust is so great that he even slaughtered his own legion, earning him the title “the Betrayer” and severely weakening the World Eaters.
