Wow, Memo – MontanaBlack in 1st Place
Who is the most relevant German streamer? Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (36) modestly referred to himself as “the most relevant person in the German internet for years” when he felt overlooked at a streaming award, and Google agrees with him here.
While he no longer streams as much as he used to and lost the number 1 spot among streamers by viewer hours in summer 2022, the interest in him remains high. This year, the dominant search queries about him were “Monte Girlfriend Malta” and “MontanaBlack Peter Pane.”
Ordered by average viewers on Twitch, he ranks 2nd, by viewer hours 6th.
MontanaBlack is so relevant that he serves as an inspiration for the satirist Jan Böhmermann for his parody of a reaction streamer. In general, ZDF Magazin Royale repeatedly addresses the streamer from Buxtehude.
It is also interesting that Knossi and MontanaBlack almost exclusively divide Germany between themselves:
- Knossi leads in the east, except in Berlin, and in the southwest. The greatest interest in him is in Brandenburg.
- MontanaBlack is stronger in the north, west, and Bavaria. The highest interest is in Schleswig-Holstein, where he has home advantage.
Why is there no woman present? The favorite for the most relevant female streamer would probably be Antonia “Reved” Staab, but she has taken a break in 2024. The interest in her was enormously high during the scandal involving Anni The Duck. The most relevant female streamer in Germany would probably be Shurjoka ahead of Honeypuu and Fibii – but we won’t open that can of worms today.
