Nadira and Leyton
Nadira eventually approaches you after a mission because she believes your husband Leyton needs a friend to talk to. Being the good-hearted person you are, you also meet Leyton, who initially seems like a somewhat scatterbrained but nice man.

After some conversations, Leyton tells you that he used to be an agent of the Dominion but then defected to Fort Tarsis and married Nadira. However, as the story unfolds, you find out that it was not as Leyton believes: he was reprogrammed by the Dominion and now has two personalities.
The second personality, which only surfaces with a keyword, is aware of the programming and is meant to spy on Fort Tarsis for the enemy programming.
How you choose to handle this information has serious consequences for Leyton and Nadira. The Corvus agent Tassyn knows there is a spy in the Fort and already suspects Leyton:
- You can say Leyton is innocent
- You can say the keyword and either keep Leyton as an agent against the Dominion or exile him

Depending on what answer you give, Leyton and Nadira either stay together, Leyton works as an agent against the Dominion and cannot remember the events, or he is exiled and killed by the Dominion.
The Rebellious Princess
Dax is a Sentinel who needs your help; she is looking for her aunt Cardea. This aunt vanished ten years ago, exactly when the Heart of Rage awoke. Since you are the only Freelancer who has been in the Heart of Rage before, you must help Dax!
As you find out in further conversations, Dax is Lady Adaxia Miravala Dell, third in line for the throne of Antium. After embarrassing her stuffy family, she was sent to Fort Tarsis to learn discipline with the Sentinels. However, she actually just wants to be a cartographer like her aunt Cardea.

You set out to search for the aunt and eventually find her: she had been trapped in a mysterious force field with other people for ten years.
After reuniting Dax and her aunt, it turns out that Aunt Cardea behaves strangely. During her time in the Warp, she could observe all timelines, even those that did not actually happen. She could look back in time, into the present, and into the future, and had access to alternative realities.
Your Freelancer can ask her about the future if you wish. Whether and what other impacts Aunt Cardea has on the story of Anthem is still unknown.
