Your tactics in PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) must be completely rethought. In these videos, we show you how significantly the gameplay is affected by popular moves.
Players have long been looking forward to climbing and diving in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Now these features are available for the first time on the test servers, and it’s already clear how much these changes will impact the game. New hiding spots and surprise tactics are now possible.
Who needs doors when there are windows?
The new climbing and diving animations are part of the Version 1.0 update, which is currently available on the test servers of PUBG.
The update also brings improved vehicle control and a rework of the ballistics. However, the climbing mechanics might not have as much influence on gameplay as the other features.
In the following videos, we show you everyday situations from PUBG that suddenly change. With the update, you are no longer safe in the bathroom and must brace yourself for new sniper positions that didn’t exist before. Now you can enter well-secured buildings, as access through the front door is no longer necessary.
Windows too small? Not a problem!
In the first video from TheRealDeathZoner, we show you a climbing opportunity where we are not entirely sure if it was intended. Do you know the small windows that a complete body shouldn’t fit through? With the new feature, you can squeeze through these windows – and then you are inside the house.
Bathrooms now have a “back door”
Here streamer Mista shows you how unaware campers are surprised by the new climbing opportunity. Unbeknownst to him, a player is in the bathroom aiming at the door. But then there is a ring from behind.
“Hello, I’m up here!”
The new climbing functions not only allow entrance to buildings but also onto objects. In Cody B’s video, you will see how you can use it to your advantage.
Bonus videos – It’s glitching!
New features wouldn’t be new features if there weren’t problems with them. In the following clip, Reddit user FredSands shows that he can walk through walls thanks to the climbing function.
This clip from Okuser shows how smoothly the transition from the window to the open sea is:
You can still try out the climbing function on the test servers of PUBG until Thursday morning.
Is PUBG now only letting its cheaters play against each other?
