The Chinese can soon look forward to a new mount in World of Warcraft. But will we also get the mount in Europe?
In the Chinese region, the celebrations for the New Year are just beginning. This year is marked by the Year of the Pig, and Blizzard has apparently implemented a new mount in World of Warcraft for this event. Some leaks already exist.
A flying pig for long-term subscriptions: According to the leak, the flying pig will be offered in China when players sign up for a particularly long subscription of 6 months. Similar offers were available a few months ago, back then with a flying ship for Pirate Day. Unfortunately, the screenshots provide little insight into the animations or detail of the pig. The offer will likely be available for about a month – but only in the Chinese region.
How did the leak happen? The Chinese website of Blizzard publishes new offers for New Year events every few days. Apparently, some images that were supposed to be shown in a few days were published too early and then deleted.
What about us Europeans? Last year there was a similar offer in China. There, you could secure the mount Shu-Zen if you subscribed for a long time. The mount was later made available in Europe and America, and it could be purchased regularly in the shop (for €25). It is conceivable that a similar offer will apply to the flying pig as well.
Please keep in mind that all this information is still not officially confirmed, even if the images look convincing.
Would you want to put your character on a flying pig? Or is that clearly a case of “Not my thing”? Let us know in the comments!
