The Twitch streamer Anissa “AnniTheDuck” Baddour (26) has already undergone several procedures on her face to feel more beautiful. However, she has now reversed part of that. The 26-year-old says she was practically addicted to beauty treatments.
Who is this about? Anissa “AnniTheDuck” Baddour is one of the largest female streamers in German Twitch. The 26-year-old is known for her impressive cosplay transformations. She openly shares her life with her fans: be it the chaotic home renovation or serious topics like her mental health or her beauty procedures.
In a recent video, AnniTheDuck explains why she is reversing the procedures.
Streamer is reversing hyaluronic treatments
What procedures were those? The 26-year-old has already undergone several procedures on her face and has always been open about it. For instance, AnniTheDuck had her nose operated on a few years ago. She has also received Botox injections, partly for cosmetic and partly for medical reasons.
The Twitch streamer primarily relied on hyaluronic acid: She injected it into her lips, chin, under her eyes, and in her cheeks. In an older video, AnniTheDuck speaks positively about the procedures: It looked “cute,” she was very happy with it, and besides, it was a substance naturally found in the body that would dissipate on its own after a while (via YouTube).
Now she seems to see things a bit differently. In a stream, AnniTheDuck spoke some time ago about reversing the hyaluronic treatments. A recording was released on February 12, 2024, on her YouTube channel. You can also find the video here:
AnniTheDuck: “There is no more addictive feeling”
Why is she reversing the procedures? In the video, AnniTheDuck reports that she started to reverse her procedures before Christmas. She feels she got a bit carried away, the streamer says.
The 26-year-old compares the desire for more and more procedures to shopping addiction: There is no more addictive feeling than being able to just go to a doctor and then “bam bam” look exactly how you want to look.
After a procedure, one is briefly happy, AnniTheDuck explains. At some point, however, she noticed that nothing bothered her about her face anymore; she just wanted to keep having that feeling over and over.
Her new doctor told her that she was injecting more and more into her face, but the dissatisfaction did not go away. The doctor then advised her to dissolve all previous fillers first and see her “real” face. If she still found something annoying afterward, they could then specifically address that.
Many influencers actively promoted the treatments: It was presented as natural and would dissolve on its own. In case of emergency, fillers could be dissolved. However, the risks are often underestimated (via Ärzteblatt). Currently, there seems to be a new trend towards removal and education.

The streamer does not completely rule out further procedures. However, for now, she will first treat the acne she has been struggling with since she was 9 years old and laser away the scars that resulted: Maybe then she will just be happy, AnniTheDuck reflects.

In a conversation with ARD, AnniTheDuck said she underwent the procedures to boost her self-esteem. The streamer says she wants others to find her attractive, but she also wants to remain herself. Finding the right balance is difficult.
