A teacher goes viral on TikTok and Instagram with his videos. They show his art classes and how he teaches his students. The videos have millions of views, as users think they recognize the man behind it.
What kind of teacher is this? The teacher Matt Taylor has gone viral with his TikTok account “thisismatttaylor”. In his videos, he talks about and shows his art classes. His motto is, “Life is chaotic. Art is beautiful. Let’s turn this chaos into a masterpiece.”
Matt Taylor is also active on Instagram. On his eponymous Instagram account, he has already gathered almost 30,000 followers.
His videos show nothing particularly extraordinary; nevertheless, they have garnered several million views on TikTok. This is because users think that an American actor is hiding behind the disguise of the teacher.
“This must be for a movie”
Who could be hiding behind the account? TikTok users were very quick to find external similarities to the actor Kevin James. The comments are piling up with assumptions:
- Angel Quintas suspects it is something for a movie (source: TikTok): “This must be for a movie”
- Schatz224 pretends to slip in the comments (source: TikTok): “You are such a good art teacher, Kevin… I mean, Mister Matt Taylor.”
- User Alex Bloom is also sure that it is Kevin James (source: TikTok): “I know it’s Kevin James, I just can’t prove it.”
Whether it is actually the actor Kevin James remains uncertain for now. Matt Taylor himself does not address the assumptions but continues to post one art video after another.
The next film by Kevin James, “Solo Mio,” will be released in theaters in February 2026. However, it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with art classes or the teaching profession, but at least the character Kevin James plays is named Matt.
