This relationship has a slight taint. Tony meets Jeanne in the fourth season of Navy CIS and dates her throughout the season. However, not without ulterior motives: Jeanne Benoit is the daughter of a prominent arms dealer whom NCIS director Jenny Shepard wants to take down. Tony is supposed to get close to her to get to her father.
Jeanne herself falls in love with Tony, and for her, the relationship is so real that she actually introduces him to her father one day. After an attempted assassination on the two, Tony ultimately tells her who he is and why he wanted to get close to her. The couple then separates.
In season 5, the two have a final showdown
, when Jeanne’s father is found dead, and she accuses Tony of murder. With 2,440 searches, they still hold the fourth place in the ranking after all these years.
Rank 3: Nicholas Torres and Eleanor Bishop
One of the couples from the newer seasons ranks third with 2,450 searches: Nicholas Torres and Eleanor Ellie
Bishop. Ellie is the direct successor of Ziva David, and Nick takes Tony DiNozzo’s place. They meet in season 14 and work together until Ellie’s departure from the series in 2021.
Their relationship bears similarities to that of Ziva and Tony: They go undercover as a couple and tease each other regularly. In season 17, at least Nick’s feelings for Ellie are so obvious that Ziva tells him he should approach Ellie.
To this day, however, the two have never officially been together: Bishop leaves the series without her relationship status being clarified.
