The Ninja Turtles from New York suddenly find themselves in an anime world. But the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should feel right at home, as they are surrounded by ninjas.
What kind of crossover is this? In October, a new comic series titled TMNT x Naruto is set to be released. The series will include a total of four issues. While Konohagakure and its inhabitants will look as they always do, the Ninja Turtles will get a matching look.
The first cover shows the Ninja Turtles jumping through Konohagakure, the home of Naruto. Naruto himself is also featured:
The story is written by Caleb Goellner (Sonic the Hedgehog). The illustrations will be done by Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Additionally, Raúl Angulo (NYX) and Ed Dukeshire (The Woods) will assist with the coloring.
When is the comic coming out? The first part of the comic series is set to be released on November 13, 2024.

What will the comic be about? April O’Neil, one of the closest allies of the TMNT, is on her way to Konohagakure. The reporter meets with Tsunade, the current Hokage of the city. Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi will take notice of the meeting between the two ladies.
Sakura and Sasuke will also appear on one of the covers. You can see all the previous images related to the comic crossover below. Click the arrows to navigate through the gallery:
However, they are not the only ones interested in April’s visit. The dark Foot Clan, which also consists only of ninjas, has an eye on her. The clan thinks that April might have important information about the mutation research of scientist Baxter Stockman.
As April is caught in the conflict between Konohagakure and the Foot Clan, it doesn’t take long for the Ninja Turtles to show up and come to her rescue.
What else is happening on the Naruto front? On the occasion of Naruto’s 20th anniversary, there will be four exclusive episodes set before Naruto Shippuden. The episodes are expected to be released by March 2025 (via X).
Additionally, the creator of the manga, Masashi Kishimoto, is working on new chapters for the sequel, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. The original story of Naruto has already concluded and is being continued through his son, Boruto.
