In Helldivers 2, the brave soldiers will soon receive reinforcements from players on Xbox. Now they are already explaining to the new recruits how to behave in a guided democracy.
When will the reinforcements arrive? Starting August 26, players on Xbox Series X|S will be able to support Over-Earth in the galactic war alongside PC and PS5 players. While the developers are still on summer vacation, some of the new recruits are already inquiring with the veterans about the best ways to engage in the fight for Over-Earth.
The battle-hardened veterans have the right answers ready, following the motto: “No matter the situation, always ask: ‘Is this democratic?’ If the answer is ‘No’, do not do it” (via Reddit).

Veterans provide etiquette and tips
What should the new recruits keep in mind? Instead of revealing the best weapons and gadgets of Helldivers 2 to the new recruits, they consider etiquettes that should be kept in mind. According to Reddit, the following rules and tips have emerged in the game since the release:
- Samples are shared. As long as the Helldiver carrying them is successfully extracted, all team members receive the samples. For example, if 10 samples are extracted, each player gets 10 samples.
- It’s called “friendly fire”, not “intentional fire”. Don’t be upset if your teammate accidentally shoots your head off.
- If your comrade stretches out their arms in greeting, never refuse the hug.
- Turrets can and will shoot through you. Be cautious near them.
- In missions where a flag must be raised, saluting (especially the default emote) increases the speed by 7.5% per player, up to a maximum of 30%.
- Do not take others’ gear from their fallen bodies. People will mark their extra gear if they want you to take it.
- Do not revive teammates if they are not near their dead bodies. Having to run half the map back to retrieve your things is annoying, especially if the cooldowns are still active.
- When throwing strategems with a large radius (e.g. 380mm barrage), watch out for your teammates.
- Thank your friendly Helldiver if they give you supplies, save you, or lend you support weapons.
- Don’t rush off alone; leave that to the Rank 150 players who can solo entire maps. Together you are stronger.
- Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Don’t rush anything. It’s okay to stay in one spot to regroup and resupply.
- There is no “meta”. Everything has a role.
- Listen to advice from your fellow Helldivers. It might be useful.
- Make sure you know the three D’s: cover, cover, and more cover.
