The MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria takes some different approaches than its genre counterparts. This is also reflected in the professions and skills.
The lifespan of a hero in the MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria is limited. Eventually, they die, and the character is gone forever. Therefore, it makes no sense for players to spread their skills as broadly as possible, crafting a little bit here and exploring a ruin there. Because when the lifespan is over, one will not be an expert in any field. Therefore, one should focus on a profession in the MMO.
In total, there are four professions: Producers are the crafters who create items. Suppliers focus on obtaining raw materials for the producers and transporting goods to other locations. Explorers explore the world and experience adventures. Champions are the fighters who act as bodyguards or explore ancient ruins previously discovered by an explorer. Thus, everyone has their role in the game and can focus on becoming really good in that role during their lifespan.
According to the professions, the skills are also divided into different categories such as Combat (for Champions), Survival (for Explorers), Crafting (for Producers), Gathering (for Suppliers), and Deviant Skills to navigate cities and Bard Skills. A skill hierarchy looks as follows:

When using a skill in which one is already very good, they will notice that they do not get better in it. In contrast, those who use a skill they barely know will notice significant improvements. The skills are divided into these tiers:
Novice (0% – 29%)
Apprentice (30% – 39%)
Journeyman (40% – 49%)
Expert (50% – 59%)
Artisan (60% – 69%)
Renowned (70% – 79%)
Master (80% – 89%)
Grandmaster (90% – 99%)
Legendary (100%)
However, the engine will ensure that players do not progress too quickly and that there are not masters in all skills within a very short time. If players progress too fast, the advancement will be automatically throttled. Skills can be increased in various ways, such as by reading a book, finding a teacher, observing others, and by trying them out themselves.
