The Secret World Legends, the reboot of The Secret World, has its own beta phase and further invitations will be sent out this weekend. Additionally, the developers at Funcom announced that all customers of the old The Secret World would automatically unlock all basic weapons in the relaunch.
The Secret World, the creepy mystery horror online role-playing game from Funcom, will soon be re-released as a quasi-fresh game The Secret World Legends. The new game is supposed to be more action-packed and dynamic than the rather bulky original. Also, only the term “Shared World RPG” is now used, no longer MMORPG.
As so much is changing in TSWL, a closed beta is intended to ensure a smooth release.
The Secret World Legends: Join the Beta!
If you want to participate in the beta test for The Secret World Legends, you just need to register with Funcom at the provided link here for the TSWL beta. With a bit of luck, your submission will be selected and you can test The Secret World Legends early and be part of the development process.
A large wave of beta invitations will reportedly be sent out today, March 31, according to Game Director Romain Amiel.
If you haven’t had any luck yet, you shouldn’t lose hope. Funcom wants maximum participation and will send out more beta invitations. With a bit of luck, you will eventually get your beta spot. However, note that a strict NDA is in place. You are not allowed to discuss your experiences until the beta ends.
The Secret World Legends: Weapon Arsenal for All Regular Customers!
If you already own the old The Secret World, you have reason to be happy. Customers of the original game will have all basic weapons in the game unlocked from the start of The Secret World Legends.
You will still have to create a new hero, but at least with a large arsenal of weapons, starting anew should be a bit easier. The Secret World remains Buy2Play while The Secret World Legends will be Free2Play.
