Funcom, the studio behind MMOs like The Secret World or Age of Conan, has received an extension on its debts.
This will initially please fans of The Secret World, as Funcom requested an extension from its creditors to maintain cash flow for 2015. This deferral has now been granted, unanimously.
Funcom asked creditors for a deadline extension from December 22, 2015, to December 15, 2016, and a reduction from $0.37 per share to $0.24.
The Norwegian MMO specialists at Funcom have been in financial trouble for some time; due to a disappointing outcome with “Mini Figures Online,” the crisis has recently intensified. Now they apparently have at least a year longer.
