In Pokémon GO, the Rocket event recently took place. However, this caused quite a frustration for some trainers.
Until yesterday, another Rocket event took place in Pokémon GO. It came again with some new Crypto monsters, a new legendary Crypto attacker, the ability to forget frustration, and additional strong bonuses.
However, a part of the event caused more frustration than excitement within the community.
Catching Pokémon – but where?
What content caused frustration? Within the event, there was, as in many previous events, a collector challenge. Trainers must collect specific monsters to complete the challenge. As a reward, they receive a medal and various items.
In this collector challenge, alongside 8,000 experience points, there was another Super Rocket Radar as a reward. This item can be used to search for and challenge Giovanni again. Thus, trainers could get a second Crypto Boreos for free during the event.
To complete the challenge, 4 different Crypto monsters from Rocket opponents needed to be collected. But this is exactly where the problem lies. Many trainers report on social media that they were unable to find the monsters even after countless battles against Team GO Rocket.
Especially Kapuno, which was available as a Crypto variant for the first time in the event and is also among the best attackers in Pokémon GO, was simply not to be found. As a result, many trainers could not complete the collector challenge and receive the second Super Rocket Radar. Baldorfish also represented an insurmountable challenge for many trainers.
What does the community say about it? Accordingly frustrated comments can be found on social media regarding the topic. Some of them are as follows:
- “I haven’t been able to find the Dragon-type Rocket Grunt with Kapuno for four days,” writes Wynautbro on Reddit
- “I live in probably the largest city in America and have been out and about for the last four days. I can’t count exactly, but it must be well over 500 PokéStops. Maybe even 1,000. I don’t know,” notes Shart217 in the post
- “No. I can’t get Kapuno. I hate challenges that are completely based on luck,” says rednail64 in another post on Reddit
- “I feel like this is a scam,” titles slytherin_whitefox in another post on Reddit
- “More than 250 grunts defeated, probably checked another 500. No Kapuno,” comments rkaixuan in the previous post
