In Helldivers 2, players prefer to fight against the Terminians (Bugs
) rather than against the robots. To win the war on both sides of the galaxy, the community is now giving tips.
Why is the fight against the robots so frustrating?
- The robots seem to be more difficult at first glance than the bugs because they cause damage not only in close combat.
- In the past, there were issues with the robots, some attacks could not be dodged.
- The robots seem to spawn in masses via spacecraft, they cannot be destroyed with certain weapons, and you can only avoid the fight.
Many players in Helldivers 2 prefer to fight against the Terminians rather than against the robots. On average, over 75% of players fight against the bugs and only about 25% dare to take on the robots.
It seems that the developers at Arrowhead Game Studios are aware of this situation as well. The last general order, which sent players into the robot territory, promised them mechs in return.
Since then, the soldiers of Super-Earth have dedicated themselves to the front in the east and only a few squads are still fighting against the robots in the west of the galaxy. How to make the fight against the robots easier
These are the tips from the players: In the Reddit post by Shadow-Fang25, the user lists 10 tips to defeat the robots. Other users also share their tips in the comments below the post.
The best of the tips are:
- “Rovers are pretty much useless. If they are close enough for your rover to shoot at them, they are already too close, and you will probably be dead soon.”
- “Shotguns are (usually) not a good option. Bots require you to aim at specific points, so accuracy is preferred. The Liberator Penetrator is a great all-around option.”
- “GET A SHIELD! The shield generator backpack is brilliant, and the ballistic shield is fantastic as well (it is as strong as a tank’s armor). Bots will overwhelm you with ranged fire. Seek cover.”
- “Grenade launchers. With a grenade launcher, you can take out most enemies immediately after they land from a landing ship, leaving only hulks and tanks.”
The community also feels called to share their tips for fighting robots in the comments section of the post. Other players advise:
- “As someone who mainly fights against bots, I want to add that the regular airstrike can kill hulks and tanks.” – agvuk on Reddit
- “I love the autocannon against bots. I play stealthily and shoot from afar, so I really like that the autocannon is able to destroy robot factories, towers, mortars, and heavy enemies from a distance, making the fight much more enjoyable.” – JustAnotherParticle on Reddit
In fact, the autocannon can also destroy robot factories. You can either shoot at the factory when the door is just opening or aim at the flap at the ventilation shaft, which will then bounce the shot off and destroy the factory.
