A Reddit user scored the PC case deal of the year due to a pricing error. The seller even admits the mistake and does not take the perhaps expected usual route.
What did the Reddit user report? The user GOGONUT6543 (via Reddit) found an absolute bargain for the Fractal North Midi Tower
-PC case. At the British PC accessories shop Gotraka, the case, which usually costs 155 British pounds, was reduced to 20 British pounds. The original price corresponds to about 177 euros. This means a drop to approximately 23 euros (based on current exchange rates as of 04.11.2025).
In the comments on the Reddit post, users agree that normally a seller would not let something like this go. But the seller decided differently: Gotraka allowed the transaction to proceed and even sent the user a coupon for their next purchase.
Thus, the seller seems to have made a pretty clever move that not everyone would have accepted.
Surprise when opening
How did the seller react? Gotraka took a rather unusual approach. First, they informed the lucky buyers about the pricing error in the webshop. At the same time, they assured that all users who purchased the tower at the wrong price could keep it.
According to Gotraka, integrity is more important than profit. Thus, the company sends a clear message: They stand by their mistakes, and made all the customers who ordered during the pricing error happy.
Additionally, all affected buyers received a five percent coupon for their next order. On top of that, there was also a thank you message from Gotraka founder Amar Tanna.
A presumably pretty clever PR move by the company. Even if they bear the costs of their pricing error: With the hashtag tag@gotraka
the company tried to spread the story further. Furthermore, they could promote their upcoming PC configurator through the error – this was mentioned in the explanatory email.
Currently, Gotraka does not ship to Germany. Thus, presumably, German customers miss out. The unintended discount has also been rectified in the meantime and is no longer available.
What does the case offer? The Fractal North Midi Tower is a PC case and shines with features like good airflow, ATX support, and compact design. The well-known YouTube channel GamersNexus describes the case as having “excellent design.” It is complemented by wooden rods in the front of the case, which serve as both ventilation and design element.
