The developers of Helldivers 2 have announced the new Legendary War Bond for the popular multiplayer shooter. You can expect a remarkable crossover with the best shooter series from the Xbox universe.
What is known about the new War Bond? The next Legendary War Bond for Helldivers 2 starts on August 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, and brings weapons, armor sets, designs, and more in “Halo: ODST” style. Cost of the items: 1,500 Over-Credits.
You can expect the following items:
- MA5C Assault Rifle: A legendary rifle known for its reliability and has annihilated countless aliens attempting to wipe out humanity.
- M6C/SOCOM Pistol: The standard ODST sidearm is your silent ally in the field. It is equipped with a built-in laser sight, flashlight, and – for the first time in Helldivers 2 – a suppressor for stealth gameplay.
- M90A Shotgun: This hard-hitting shotgun features a strong recoil and is equipped with a handy lamp so you can see the fear in your enemies’ eyes before teaching them a valuable lesson about freedom.
- M7S Submachine Gun: This quiet and deadly SMG is the primary weapon of any exemplary ODST. With caseless ammunition and a permanently mounted suppressor, this weapon is always ready to spread freedom in every corner of the galaxy.
- A-9 Helljumper Armor Set: Slip into the armored boots of a legendary Lance Corporal who served with great courage under fire in the service of the ODST. Passive Booster: Feet first into Hell.
- A-35 Recon Armor Set: This set is sleeker and more inconspicuous than the A-9 armor and is designed for movement and flexibility. The helmet is inspired by a legendary headgear for intelligence officers. Passive Booster: Feet first into Hell.
- Passive Booster – Feet First into Hell: Movement makes less noise. The range for finding interesting locations is increased by 30%. Prevents leg injuries.
- Honorary Heirloom: This cloak featuring the ODST logo is passed on to the bravest child of a jumper in the event of their early demise.
- Stolen Glances: Some soldiers fight at the front, others from the shadows. Cloak yourself in mystery with this elegant, subtle cape and escape into the light.

Why is the crossover particularly noteworthy? Behind Halo stands the largest shooter franchise from the Xbox camp, while Helldivers 2 has begun its triumphant march on the PlayStation 5. That these two IPs are now coming together in a crossover is unusual and shows that platforms are becoming less important, but of course it fits well, because Helldivers 2 is set to release on Xbox from August 26, 2025.
By the way, ODST stands for “Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.” These are special units of the UNSC Marine Corps that were primarily featured in Halo 3: ODST from 2009.
