Battle for Azeroth is starting soon – and just in time for the launch, Blizzard is updating the WoW Companion App. You can now track and progress your achievements in World of Warcraft on the go!
New Companion App is here: Blizzard has updated the Companion App for World of Warcraft to Gear for Azeroth. The new app is now available for iOS and Android and offers updated features.
WoW Companion App for BfA
The Companion App helped manage the Order Hall and monitor World Quests during Legion. It allows you to send companions on missions anytime, anywhere or set the Order Hall expansion settings.
Updated Features: With the update of the Companion App for Gear for Azeroth, the app’s structure hardly changes – only the functions are now adapted to the new expansion.
The world map now shows the new continents of Zandalar and Kul Tiras along with their respective areas instead of the Broken Isles and Argus. You can now view the new emissary and world quests including rewards.
Mobile Character View and Social Features: You now have access to your character’s current equipment and additional character information from anywhere – similar to the Arsenal. Features like the calendar and contacts will be added at a later time.
New Champions: With Gear for Azeroth, your old champions from Legion will be replaced. Some new champions for the Horde and new abilities have already been revealed through the new images in the store: Rexxar, Lillian Voss, Arcanist Valtrois, Hobart Grapplehammer, and Shadow Hunter Ty’jin.
Quests and War Campaign: Missions resembling the Order Missions from Legion and the Mission Table in WoD can also be managed. You again have new champions available to whom you can assign tasks. In the app, you can also upgrade the champions and recruit new troops.
The War Campaign replaces the Order Hall in the new app. Through research projects, you unlock upgrades in the War Talent Tree and progress in the campaign that accompanies you through BfA. You can already view the talents in the app.
