The highly anticipated expansion “Lovestruck” for “The Sims 4” will be released tomorrow, on July 25, 2024. However, before it officially becomes available, the free update for the base game has already caused some surprises – unfortunately, not good ones.
What update are we talking about? The free update from July 23, which was supposed to pave the way for the Lovestruck
expansion, has introduced a long-awaited feature into the game: polyamory. With the new update, you can now have open relationships in The Sims 4
and enter into multiple relationships at the same time. Your Sims can now also become jealous. You can decide whether and under what circumstances your Sims feel this way. In addition, there are finally curved pools.
Fan expectations were high, and many were excited about the update. However, the launch of the update has been anything but smooth, as some players report.

Update brings bugs instead of more romance

The comments are filled with players complaining about bugs and love dramas of their Sims. Many report that their Sims become rude to each other for no apparent reason, insult each other, and lose relationship points even when they do not interact.

How can I reverse this? A few fans recommend using cheats or mods to fix the relationships again. Many hope that the bugs will be fixed soon and that their Sims will be able to find each other again.
