As part of the gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 presents a new gameplay trailer that leaves you breathless with laughter. The game will also be featured at the FYNG show.
What kind of game is this? The medieval RPG by Warhorse Studios will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Just like in the first part, you step into the shoes of Henry from Skalitz, whose quest for revenge is far from over. The story takes you through medieval Bohemia in the 15th century.
The first part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance already captivated fans with its story and attention to detail, but it also faced criticism for its lack of polish. The mix of role-playing and medieval simulation, which requires attention to hygiene, food, and exhaustion, was already flawlessly executed by the developers in the first part.
Here you can watch the new trailer for the second part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance:
Part Two Will Be Dark
What does the trailer show? This time, the trailer takes a darker turn than the first part. Henry, now of noble birth, assembles a crew to continue his quest for revenge. In the meantime, the antagonist Sigismund is in a truce with Henry’s allied nobles, which is why Henry first visits his old acquaintances.
The trailer shows many new locations such as villages, towns, and castles, which have been created with attention to detail once again. The lush grasses of Bohemia and the beautiful landscapes look inviting as ever.
What looks dark then? The latter part of the trailer abruptly shifts from the lush grasses to ominous scenes, where a man hangs from the gallows. Another scene shows Henry covered in blood, taking on numerous enemies. He has evidently learned new tricks, as compared to the first part, Henry now commands several new attacks.
It also shows Henry loading a crossbow. This weapon was not present in the first part of the series and is now included in the second part. The trailer ends with Henry holding a blade to another character’s throat. As part of our FYNG program on Twitch, the team on site will discuss the game on gamescom Wednesday.
