The new season of 7 vs. Wild finally has a trailer, and it shows that this season will be extremely tough. It will be freezing cold, and even Fritz Meinecke seems to be worried about the contestants.
What does the new trailer show? In the new trailer of 7 vs. Wild, you first see scenes of the new season in New Zealand. The contestants are competing as a group this time to survive together for two weeks in the wilderness.
The trailer finally shows why the participants are not alone this year because it seems that it is really about survival this time.
One of the contestants of 7 vs. Wild is LetsHugo; you can learn more about him here:
Freezing cold, snowstorm, and extremely tough
What will the new season be like? The trailer for the new season already reveals that it has not only snowed once but that the contestants will have to deal with freezing temperatures throughout the entire time of their exposure. In the trailer, you see that the contestants are using the broken parts of the airplane to build shelter.
Next to their shelter, where all contestants likely sleep together to share body heat, there is also a big fire burning. In one scene in the trailer, you can see that the fire spreads to parts of the airplane and sets them on fire. However, the participants seem to have noticed this in time.
Here you can watch the trailer:
How is it for the participants? In the trailer, you can hear Joey Kelly, who is participating in 7 vs. Wild for the second time, recording an assessment. He says: “We are in New Zealand, on the South Island. It is late autumn, almost winter here. It is cold. It is very cold, and we have very, very little. The toughest 7 vs. Wild”.
Survival expert Joe Vogel is also worried about the group. In the trailer, he says: “To be completely honest, we have a super, super bad setting. Unless some gimmicks are hidden somewhere, I see at least half of the participants dropping out tonight.”
The participants on site are likely realizing quickly why this year there was a group exposure and not an individual one. Alone, beginners would probably have dropped out within a few days in these adverse conditions.
Will we also see more of Fritz Meinecke in the trailer? Yes, Fritz Meinecke also appears in the trailer. He briefly introduces the scenario at the beginning of the trailer, but he also reappears later.
In a later scene, you see him at night, while it is snowing, walking through the snowy landscape. He seems to climb a small hill and then observes the participants with his binoculars. He says, “[…] you can see the fire burning again.”
This scene could indicate that the temperatures became so cold or the snowstorm so severe that the organization and Fritz Meinecke himself had concerns for the participants. He is not actually fond of interrupting the simulation of 7 vs. Wild.
Whether the situation really became so dangerous that the 7 vs. Wild season had to be interrupted or even canceled is still unclear.
