The developers of Blade and Soul have been working on their game and will soon release a new version with improved graphics and a different name.
What is the latest update? About a year ago, players were promised the new version of Blade and Soul, called Blade and Soul Neo Classic. Now and then, the responsible parties have given signs of life on social media to show the community the current status of the new version.
However, it became a bit quieter about the title, causing fans to wonder if work was still being done on the new version. On September 19, 2024, the team behind Blade and Soul surprised everyone with a message on social media:
BIG NEWS. We are excited to announce that BNS NEO will soon officially launch in Korea! We are thrilled that the game will be available in a new region, bringing us closer to the global launch!

What they want to improve
What is new? Blade and Soul is being completely rebooted. The developers want to return to their roots. For some time, the charm of the original version has been lost, and they want to bring it back. Not only the gameplay will be revised, but also the graphics. The developers mention the following points they want to adjust in the game:
- The combat system should feel more like it did in the past.
- Improvement of hit effects in combat.
- There will be new jewel effects. The developers mention “Amethyst,” which increases attack power, accuracy, and life steal in the game.
- Improving the balance, combat, and economic systems, and much more.
When is the release? The Korean version is about to launch. It is set to start on October 16, 2024. The upcoming release in Korea gives hope that the global version won’t be too far behind. It has been confirmed by the developers that the game will come to North America and Europe – the exact timing is not known.
