Pokémon GO is about to undergo one of the biggest changes in the history of the game. And this could bring you some great rewards.
On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, there will be a major change in Pokémon GO. On this day, the current level system will be revamped and updated. Instead of a maximum of 50 levels, you will be able to reach up to level 80 from this date. Your current level will also be adjusted and changed based on your experience points.
It has already been announced that there will be new rewards for reaching various levels. A recent leak shows what those rewards might be.
More capacities for everyone!
What are the rewards? According to data mining, you could get some new accessories for your avatar in the new level system, as well as many expansions for various bags in the game.
The accessories include 3 different variants of hats, shoes, and shirts. These are divided into the 3 Pokéball sets “basic”, “great”, and “ultra”. The names correspond well to the 3 standard balls: Pokéball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. The Great Ball is referred to as “Great Ball” in English, while the Ultra Ball is named “Ultra Ball”.
The expansions concern the capacities for items and Pokémon, for which you would otherwise have to pay 200 PokéCoins for an increase of 50 each. Additionally, the list also includes expansions for your capacity for gifts and postcards. Until now, there has been no way in the game to increase the capacity for gifts.
We are embedding the Reddit post with the information here for you:
How do you get the rewards? According to the leak, you will receive the rewards at various levels. The last reward is supposed to be available at level 70. You should also receive the expansions and accessories retroactively. So if you jump directly to level 60 with the new level system, you should still receive all the rewards that were available at the previous levels.
Up to level 70, you should receive the following rewards:
- 250 item capacity
- 150 Pokémon capacity
- 15 gift capacity
- 150 postcard capacity
How reliable is the information? As mentioned earlier, the information from the post comes from data mining. These are details found in the game’s files. Therefore, they are not official information provided by Niantic.
It is thus possible that these rewards may not be released in the game or may appear in a different form. However, leaks in the past have often been very accurate. By October 15, 2025, we should know for sure whether the leak was correct.
As every month, October also brings a variety of events, raids, spotlight hours, and other content for Pokémon GO. Appropriate for the month, there will of course be suitable events for Halloween as well. One of them even gives you the chance to catch a lot of shinies.
