In Pokémon GO the event “The Right Twist” is starting. This brings a new Pokémon: Klibbe. How to catch it, you can read here.
When does the event start? “The Right Twist” starts on January 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM. You have time until January 11 at 8:00 PM to take advantage of the event bonuses.
What is the highlight? The new Pokémon Klibbe appears for the first time in Pokémon GO. It is a Rock-type Pokémon from the games Scarlet and Violet. Some of you may still know it as one of the Ruler Pokémon from these games that function as giant bosses.
Klibbe is also known in the Pokédex for enjoying hanging on ceilings and waiting upside down for its prey. That’s why it is also known as the “Stalker” Pokémon. However, it can’t do that for too long, as the blood rushes to its head.

Klibbe and Crab Pokémon are out there – How to catch them?
How do I catch Klibbe? As of now, you can only obtain Klibbe from field research and limited-time research during the event. So, you will not encounter it in the wild or in raids.
Therefore, the plan is to visit as many PokéStops as possible, collect and complete research to find Klibbe.
Which Pokémon should I catch? Several crab Pokémon are out during the event that you should catch. Because: They come with an increased shiny rate.

All three can be encountered in the wild. You can also obtain them from research.
Additionally, you will encounter a Pokémon for the first time as shiny:
- Moruda
You can find it in 3-star raids or in research.
What bonuses apply? During the event, you will receive double catch XP. Additionally, three limited-time research tasks are active during the event that take place sequentially.
