The players of Pokémon TCG Pocket can recently enjoy the new booster Collision of Space and Time
. However, with the new cards, they are reminded that some Pokémon are hunters while others are prey.
What is the new booster? Since January 30, 2025, players can draw cards from the booster packs Collision of Space and Time
. These packs contain 200 new cards, including new Full-Art cards.
Full-Art cards have an alternative motif that shows the depicted Pokémon in a “more natural” situation, just as they might occur in the wild, in the world of Pokémon.
Here you can watch the trailer for the new expansion:
“No! Swinub, look up!”
What is the terrible reality? The world of Pokémon seems affectionate for us players. Sure, you battle with your Pokémon against others, but they are only injured in the process. During the fights, they might faint at most, but they are not killed.
In the “reality”, Pokémon behave similarly to animals. Some Pokémon are prey to others.
This is an aspect of the Pokémon franchise that many fans often forget or intentionally overlook. After all, it is much nicer to imagine a world where all Pokémon live in harmony.
How are players reminded? A player posted on reddit his Full-Art card of Snibunna ex. It shows a group of Snibunna perched in trees, lurking at a Swinub below them. He wrote: “No! Swinub, look up! Look up!”
The comments are piling up with warnings directed at the Swinub. Others are imagining alternative scenarios to the impending situation:
- Banditree- (via reddit): “He is the real monster that [the Snibunnas] are hiding from.”
- weswes16 (via reddit): “Ssh! Don’t spoil the surprise party the Snibunnas are preparing for Swinub!”
- FuzzyExponent (via reddit): “Don’t worry, his father is right up ahead watching. He will be fine.”
Afterwards, a memorial post for Swinub was made:
The Full-Art card of Tauboss also shows a similar scenario, as Tauboss is fishing a Magikarp out of a river to eat it. By the way, Tauboss is part of the best decks you can use to counter strong decks: Pokémon TCG Pocket: 5 counters against the best decks
