For many film fans, Christopher Nolan is somewhat like a messiah. Almost none of his films disappointed the Nolan purists, and he also shows in his works that he can tell the most diverse stories. Apart from his early works like Following, Memento and Insomnia, it was mostly large-scale blockbusters that emphasized spectacle.
