In Destiny 2, during the Solstice of Heroes, there is a build possible that is incredibly powerful. With this, a Guardian can bring down raid bosses in seconds.
This build comes from: Gladd. He is a Guardian who has made a big name for himself in the Guardian community. Gladd is a streamer, YouTuber, and competitive PvE player who has earned several World-First titles in Destiny raids as a member of the Clan Redeem, like last September in the “Last Wish” raid.
What can this build do? According to Gladd, it is the most powerful build that Destiny (both Destiny 1 and 2) has ever seen. With this, he receives extremely strong melee attacks that allow him to smash raid bosses into pieces in seconds.
He achieves this enormous melee damage by stacking multiple buffs. The important one is the “Arc Empowered” buff, which is only possible every few days during the Solstice of Heroes, the current summer event.

How does this build work?
You will need the following: You need an Arcstrider Hunter with
- Combination Blow x3 – This is an Arcstrider melee ability that increases melee damage for 20 seconds and is stackable.
- The “Arc Empowered” buff from the Solstice, which also increases melee damage. For this, 30 Arc spheres must be collected on an Arc day to activate it.
- A shotgun with the Double-Punch perk. If an enemy is hit by every shotgun shot, melee damage is increased.
- Tractor Cannon (exotic shotgun) for a debuff that makes enemies more susceptible to damage.
- Fist of the Liar (exotic gauntlets) – If you use the Arc melee ability or are hit by a melee attack, you can follow up with a powerful melee counterattack that also heals you.
The video shows how Gladd charges up Combination Blow with melee kills before a fight and gathers the last Arc spheres. Now he blasts the boss with the shotgun, follows up, and the enemy goes down. For example, Riven dies in just a little over a second.
Gladd exploits a glitch
Is this done fairly? Unfortunately not, as Gladd exploits a rather easily executed glitch with the “Fist of the Liar” gauntlets. This keeps the exotic perk permanently active – meaning: melee damage is increased every time.

Moreover, a user writes that he now feels sorry for Titans. Until now, “slamming” was their thing, but now Hunters are surpassing them in it.
