A class in World of Warcraft is more popular than all others. No wonder, as after the rework, almost everyone wants to play it.
Your own class in World of Warcraft is of course always the best – of course. But is it also the most popular? Probably not. Unless you are a Paladin, then that is true. However, the distribution of classes in WoW is very different, and several classes are significantly trailing behind.

Although not all players are captured here, it still provides a fairly good picture of the community as a whole.
Which class is the most popular? If you only look at characters that have reached the maximum level, then it is the Paladin with a whopping 12.2% and a solid lead over second place, the Druid with 10.7%.
The Paladin’s popularity has several reasons. On the one hand, the Paladin is one of the most iconic classes in World of Warcraft that has been present since the early Warcraft strategy games.
Especially the major rework of talents in Dragonflight has led to the Paladin gaining popularity. Hardly any other talent tree in the game feels as good and rounded. In this regard, the Retribution Paladin is still relatively easy to play and can achieve strong performances with little effort – even though professionals can definitely squeeze out much more.
Which class is unpopular? In last place is the Evoker with only 3.5%. That the Evoker is so far down is probably not surprising. Because Evokers can only be Dracthyr, and their appearance only appeals to a fraction of players. Especially due to the limited transmog options, Dracthyr often appear a bit odd. Additionally, the Evoker is the newest class, and many are still sticking to their old mains.
However, it seems that Rogues have been hit the hardest. Because all races can become Rogues, and they have been in the game since the launch of World of Warcraft. That only 5.9% of all characters at maximum level are Rogues speaks to some issues.
Looking into the different forums, the playstyle of Rogues is particularly criticized. Many dislike the random mechanics with rolling dice, while others feel that Rogues have lost their cool unique features over the years.
