Although Apex Legends features fast-paced gameplay and an aggressive playstyle often leads to victory, there are many campers. Some of them are successful with their waiting playstyle. These campers have now had an important spot spoiled.
Which spot has been nerfed? It concerns the bunker that is popular among many players, located fairly centrally on the map of Apex Legends. The bunker connects the western part of the map with the eastern part and serves as a passage through a wide mountain range.
Especially towards the end of a round, the bunker is popular when it is within the zone. It then becomes essential at a certain point if you want to cross the mountains without taking damage from the zone.
Since the tunnels of the bunker are quite narrow and many rooms are built with doors, the bunker is popular among people who wait for other squads or want to kill them with cruel traps.
What has been nerfed? Previously, there was a small exhaust shaft above most of the doors in the bunker. There was enough space on it for two players to position themselves.
With the last patch, which also brought the Battle Pass, Respawn has removed these exhaust shafts. You can no longer camp above the doors.

What was the purpose of that? From the outside, players were not seen on the shafts. Upon entering the room, you were virtually defenseless against the two. They could simply aim cleanly from above unnoticed and take out entire groups.
A popular tactic was to block the exit with Caustic’s gas traps and simply wipe out the team with poison gas. However, no one can camp there anymore due to the lack of shafts.

Can you still camp in the bunker? In short, yes.
The exhaust shafts in the doors were what made the bunker the most dangerous and annoying for campers. However, it still serves as a bottleneck, known as a “choke.”
Players who want to cross the bunker only have one long and narrow hallway. At many points, especially at the existing stairs, there is no cover.
Campers can still make easy prey here, especially with the right weapons, when enemies approach carelessly.

What do you think about the nerf?
Another design idea is reportedly causing greater problems in the game according to a professional:
