Place 1: Durin I.

Hardly any dwarf in Middle-earth is more legendary than Durin I. He was regarded as the oldest of the dwarf fathers and bore the title “The Immortal”, which was partly due to his old age, but also because the dwarves believed in his reincarnation.

His time as a ruler went down in history as a glorious era of the dwarves. Durin I. created the famous realm of Moria, founded his own people, and even after his death, six more dwarves descended from him and bore the name Durin. Some of them can be found on this list and are also very powerful. As a father of his people, everything traced back to Durin I., whom the dwarves rightly admired.
