Rank 9: ArcheAge Chronicles
Setting: Fantasy | Developer: XL Games | Platform: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series | Status: Testing phases ongoing, release planned for the first half of 2026
The focus of the successor to ArcheAge is clearly more on the western market, and thus on PvE and story rather than sandbox and PvP. Most of the content is aimed at solo players and small groups. PvP is only intended in clearly defined areas, for fixed teams and guilds.
Fighting will take place in an action-rich combat system, with dynamic blocking, parrying, and dodging. By choosing weapons and skills, you build builds that you can switch between.
Like the first part, ArcheAge Chronicles wants to appeal to all fans of crafting skills such as hunting, gathering, farming, crafting, and so on. The developers promise an elaborate housing system just like trading missions and trade routes that need to be defended.
ArcheAge Chronicles is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and is expected to have a Buy2Play model with service elements. The focus will be on the sale of cosmetic items, and there will be no Pay2Win. By the way, the game is actually already finished: New MMORPG focuses entirely on PvE, wants to wait another year before releasing, even though it is completely developed
