The Real series of One Piece started successfully on Netflix. Since then, fans of the live-action adaptation have been waiting for season 2. The team has now revealed through an unofficial post how the filming is progressing.
What kind of sign of life is this? Nathalie Walsh is a stuntwoman and shoots the scenes that are too dangerous for Nami actress Emily Rudd. She shared a post on social media that mentions a “Wrap Party”.
In the meantime, the post is no longer available on her profiles, but X user pewpiece saved a screenshot of her post:
None of the actors portraying the Straw Hat crew are visible in the image. Instead, she is celebrating with the other stunt doubles, who are involved in particularly risky scenes. The image features Nathan Barris, Shaun Verth, and Mcrae Douglas.
The last sign of life from the set came from series creator Eiichiro Oda. He visited the production set in September 2024 and showed which new locations we can look forward to.

The end of filming is a good sign
What does this mean? The term “Wrap Party” is used whenever the filming of a series or film has been completed. Accordingly, the filming for season 2 of One Piece was likely completed recently.
Since the end of filming was planned for December 2024, the production of the series is currently fully on schedule. This could mean that One Piece will premiere on Netflix as planned.
What does the community say about this? In the comments, there are many fans looking forward to the new season. One user writes that he absolutely needs to see Chopper, Robin, and the Grand Line. Many cannot wait for the series to finally start.
So far, it is only known what Chopper looks like in his transformed form. Fans are therefore still curious about what the real Chopper will look like. He will likely be a mix of a real actor and CGI effect.
When will the series premiere on Netflix? So far, there is no official release date. Since the production team will need a few more months to edit the scenes, the series will probably not be released until at the earliest mid-2025.
MeinMMO editor Jasmin Beverungen hopes that her favorite scenes from the anime will be well represented. Season 2 is supposed to cover from Logue Town to Alabasta.
