Wyrmwood is known among gamers for its high-quality furniture, and the prices are correspondingly high. The latest model is a modular gaming table for 3000 euros.
Furniture has now become part of a gamer’s workspace. Besides chairs and adequate lighting, tables are also essential. Well-known companies like Ikea are developing furniture for gamers.
Now, the company Wyrmwood has presented a new gaming table. For that, you have to pay at least 3000 euros.

What kind of table is it? The model is called Modular Gaming Table and was successfully funded on Kickstarter back then with nearly 9 million US dollars.
Since Tuesday, October 18, 2022, you can order the table on Kickstarter. The device actually costs “only” 1,750 euros, but you have to “buy” into the waiting line. To be part of the first wave of furniture, you must be willing to pay 3000 euros.
The high price does not seem to deter gamers from supporting or buying. As of now (October 19), the table has 736 backers. The table is scheduled to be shipped from May 2023.
What can the gaming table do? The Modular Desk is available in Standard (152.4 x 76.2 cm) and XL (198.12″ x 91.44 cm”) sizes, both in fixed height and as a motorized sit-stand desk with built-in memory, which can store three different heights. Additionally, the accessories include

- customizable storage options
- magnetic attachments for cups, mugs, headphones, and game controllers.
- Moreover, there are several options for mounts for microphones and lighting.
Why is it so expensive? Co-founder Ed Maranville explains in a conversation with Polygon that there are various reasons for the high price: You have to pay around 200 employees’ salaries and the whole thing is therefore sustainable.
