A new game in the universe of Destiny has been announced, and the first trailer gives us a brief glimpse of new content.
What kind of game is this? Bungie and the Chinese developer studio NetEase have officially introduced Destiny: Rising today – a new loot shooter set in the Destiny universe. Bungie has provided the license, but the game is developed by NetEase. NetEase is known for games like Diablo Immortal and Naraka: Bladepoint, among others.
Destiny: Rising will be released as a free-to-play game for mobile devices and is set in an alternate timeline during the dark age. You will be able to play various characters, some of which are already known from Destiny 1 and 2, while others are entirely new.
Even before the announcement, there were numerous leaks and rumors suggesting that there would be a mobile Destiny game.

Say “Goodbye” to Titan, Warlock, and Hunter
What is known about Destiny: Rising? In Destiny: Rising, there are no classes as you know them from Destiny 2. Instead of Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters, there are different characters that you can choose and play as classes. These characters are called Lightbearers, each with their own story and different abilities.
However, NetEase announced that Destiny: Rising will also feature familiar modes from the Destiny games – including campaign missions and coop strikes played with 6 players. There will also be new PvE and PvP modes.
One of the special new features of Destiny: Rising is a new weapon rarity: the so-called mystical weapons.
Not much is known about the monetization of Destiny: Rising yet. We only know that it will be a F2P game. However, it can be assumed that you will be able to buy cosmetic content, for example.
Diablo Immortal, which is also from NetEase, has faced ongoing P2W accusations and criticism of its monetization system in this country. You can read more about it here: YouTuber reveals how “extremely pay-to-win” the new game from Blizzard is
