Regularly, well-known movies and series return with new reboots and remakes. The cult series Scrubs will also return in 2026, featuring the familiar cast. In the first teaser for the revival, ABC shows how it captures the spirit of the old days.
Very soon, fans of the iconic comedy series Scrubs can look forward to a sort of continuation of the original series. The Scrubs revival will feature many familiar faces that fans of the series should remember from back then.
In an initial teaser (via x.com), released on November 25, 2025, you can already see the direction the revival is heading. You see the most important characters of the series interacting with one another in familiar ways.
30 Seconds of Nostalgia
What can be seen in the teaser? In the 30-second teaser, you can see the three doctors J.D., Turk, and Elliot walking down a hospital corridor (a classic image from the original series) to meet a group of newcomers.
The new trainees at the hospital don’t seem to know J.D. because they only respond to his I’m back baby
with confused faces and the question of who these three even are. Elliot suggests J.D. approach the situation more like Dr. Cox, and conjures up the real Dr. Cox with Listen up, noobs

As usual, he is disappointed with J.D. The grumpy doctor seems to have evolved, at least calling him by the male name Scooter instead of a female name. Of course, Carla has to step in, who protects Bambi

How does the community react to the teaser? All the years of reboots, sequels, and remakes seem to have made some users skeptical, questioning whether this was really necessary. There is also a fear that the original might be ruined. Some just miss the janitor.

What does MeinMMO editor Niko say about the first teaser of the Scrubs revival? I love Scrubs and I’ve probably watched the first 8 seasons at least 10 times. However, the teaser gives me a good feeling. They seem to have an understanding of the images and the mood of the original, and the dynamic movements of the picture also seem to be back.
The hardest part of the revival will be finding the right balance between comedy and drama, an aspect that Scrubs executed incredibly well in the original. After the first teaser, though, I am more optimistic.
When is the revival set to premiere? The season premiere is set for February 25, 2025, on the US channel ABC. However, there is currently no information regarding Germany.
