Developer Electronic Arts has published the first patch notes for EA FC 26. MeinMMO shows you the most important aspects and why your squad in career mode will no longer become unexpectedly thinner – the player exodus is fixed.
What stands out from the first patches? The probably most bizarre, but necessary change can be found in career mode. From time to time, players could unexpectedly leave the club during the calendar simulation – even real transfer insiders like Fabrizio Romano would not foresee such moves.
This abrupt player exodus is now said to no longer happen and has been fixed according to the patch notes.

What else is included? The compiled notes show that in addition to the unwanted player departures, some gameplay mechanics have already been adjusted. Especially the attacking AI has received an upgrade:
- Low Driven Shots are now less accurate when shot with too much power.
- Attacking AI improved: more crossing runs by wingers, wing backs play higher, better runs into open space, better offside detection.
- Defensive behavior adjusted: with low defensive tactics, players stay deeper, center-backs do not move unnecessarily wide.
- Goalkeeper Mode: New display showing the direction from which a shot comes + UI adjustments.
- Reworked passes: fewer unexpected misplaced passes (e.g. ground passes behind a teammate), driven passes are harder to play.
- Diverse fixes for shooting and dribbling animations.
What happens in the most popular mode of EA FC? Here, EA has also made some initial bug fixes. However, these are more like small adjustments that have been made.
- Co-op invitations now work more reliably.
- Item portraits and squad screen bugs fixed.
- Stability issues after the first squad setup fixed.
And in general? EA has also improved the borderless display and controller detection slightly and updated aspects such as faces, kits, and textures. Only on PC has there been an adjustment to the display settings in borderless mode, which until now could unintentionally lead to performance issues.
