Although the official release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has not yet occurred, the first players can already experience parts of the latest installment. And it seems that the developers have improved a lot for the release – at least according to the initial feedback.

However, some lucky players have already managed to get a physical disk version of the game early. Additionally, some professional players have also reportedly received some copies. And they can apparently already play Modern Warfare.
Now, numerous new insights from firsthand sources are making their way onto the internet. For example, you can already view all Operators. Skins and all other cosmetics can now also be examined. Detailed tours of the new maps are currently circulating on social media.
What are the first impressions of the new Modern Warfare? Players have already noticed that the developers seem to have genuinely taken the fans’ feedback from previous testing phases to heart. The initial responses suggest that many aspects have been improved for the release version of Modern Warfare. And that is well-received by the fans.
What has been improved at Modern Warfare for the release: It appears that many points of criticism from beta phases and the alpha have been addressed. Here are some examples:
- Significant improvements have been made to the footstep sounds. You can finally distinguish your own steps from others and properly assess where the footsteps are coming from.
- The lighting, especially in dark parts of the maps, has been improved. In the beta, it was difficult to spot enemies in certain areas of the Azir Cave map. This should no longer be a problem.
- The radar has also been improved. The view now uses a lower zoom level, allowing players to keep more of their surroundings in view.
- The much-criticized black and white effect for severe injuries has been removed.
- There is a new spray and emote wheel that allows you to spray your unlocked designs on walls or taunt opponents with gestures.
- The Claymore mines have been redesigned and are now much easier to spot. During the beta, many players criticized their poor visibility.
Further changes that will likely also make their way into the release version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can be seen in this video from eColiEspresso:
What do players say? Many users on Reddit are excited that Infinity Ward has taken the feedback to heart and implemented so much of it. The individual changes are seen as meaningful by most and are well-received.
For instance, Reddit user CroppednDocked writes: “I am really excited about how seriously the guys are taking the feedback this year. That’s great!”
Whatulike believes: “They are listening.”
SirJimiee states: “This makes me very, very happy.”
Ordinary-Citizen says: “I love it. IW (Infinity Ward) is just doing great this year.”
Overall, the mood is quite positive right now, and many fans can hardly wait to dive into the battles themselves soon.
