Update 17:06: The servers are definitely not accessible for digital versions yet. Officially, the servers will be available from midnight, so be patient if you can’t play yet.
The reports that one can play with digital versions likely come from streamers and others who can already play a press version.
It is currently unclear how it looks for the PC version. There are conflicting reports.

Where do the reports come from? On the Subreddit of The Division 2, u/Fischwaage reports that he can already play.
At the time this article was written (11.3. 12:07), Streamer Toxiicgaming is also active and streaming live from the game.
In our Facebook group, many also report that they can already play.
What could be the reason? Similar events happened with Anthem. Several days before the release, disc version buyers could already play as the servers went online.
On the other hand, those who bought a digital version will only be allowed on the servers on time for the official release on March 15. Buyers of the corresponding digital editions can start playing from March 12 at 0:01.

However, it has not yet been officially confirmed that this “pre-launch” is related to the disc versions.
What about the PC and Xbox One? There are still no precise details on this. Several PC players report that they still cannot play.
If it really has to do with the disc version, then Xbox players will likely also be able to go online if they bought The Division 2 as a retail version.
