Tip 5: Use slime to build bridges
You can use slime (goo) – especially the slime cannon – to build bridges. For example, if you want to maneuver between two roofs as a heavy class and there isn’t a zipline or something similar nearby, you can build a goo bridge by repeatedly shooting at the same spot with the slime cannon.
However, the slime bridge is not intended for larger chasms. It can only be a certain length, and “building” it would take too long.
Tip 6: Do not activate buttons (on bridges or similar) by hand
In The Finals, there are various constructions on the map that you can activate by pressing a button – including bridges that can go up and down, as well as walls or elevators.
However, you don’t have to press these buttons by hand and up close. It’s sufficient to shoot at the switch.
Tip 7: Don’t neglect the throwing mechanic
The entire map of The Finals is filled with objects that you can pick up and throw. In addition to various gas canisters, this also applies to the safe that you need to bring to a cashout.
Everything you throw can also damage your opponent. So if you run out of ammunition and your opponent has only a millimeter of health left, don’t hesitate to throw the nearest flowerpot or chair at him – or even the safe as a last resort.
Bonus: If you didn’t know yet: You can also pick up, carry, and throw your teammates when they lie on the ground as plastic figures after dying.
Tip 8: Use explosives when you need to reach flying platforms
Occasionally, the cashout is on a flying platform. If your opponents are actively defending this platform and may have even destroyed the ziplines leading to it (see Tip 3), then it can be quite difficult to reach the cashout.
Sometimes it is easier to bring the cashout to you – that is, bring it to the ground – rather than trying to get to the cashout on the flying platform.
Each flying platform is attached to 4 ropes. If you destroy the rope attachments with explosives, the entire platform, including the cashout, will crash to the ground. In many cases, there are also red gas canisters found around the platforms. These are explosive and suitable for destroying the attachments.
Tip 9: Slime is extremely flammable
If your opponents are using slime and blocking access or even the cashout, you can use incendiary grenades, flamethrowers, and similar weapons to quickly remove the slime. The slime is extremely flammable and burns completely at a furious speed.
It is also possible to use the slime to enlarge the burning area. For example, if you create rows of slime on a roof, you can cover a very large area with fire using a Molotov cocktail.
Tip 10: You can learn the recoil of your favorite weapon
The Finals has consistent recoil patterns with the weapons. This means that the recoil of the weapon is the same every time you hold down the trigger. You can memorize these patterns and learn them with minimal effort to achieve maximum precision when shooting.
Learning a recoil pattern is actually easier than trying to reactively control the recoil without knowing how the weapon behaves.
