The streamer Guy “DrDisrespect” Beahm fulfilled his dream of having his own gaming studio a few years ago, where the vertical shooter “Deadrop” was developed. DrDisrespect was a co-founder, idea keeper, and frontman of the studio. However, the studio he founded, Midnight Society, kicked the streamer out when they learned about his scandal. DrDisrespect said in a stream that it will all blow over.
That’s why the studio parted ways with DrDisrespect: In 2017, DrDisrespect exchanged messages with a person who was still a minor at the time on Twitch; the messages were – as he stated – “partially inappropriate” or at least veered too much into the direction of being inappropriate.
In another version, he stated, he had only “flirted” with the person – in any case, it was not sexting or anything like that. Everything was also legal; the person was apparently above the age of consent.
Nevertheless, DrDisrespect was banned from Twitch in 2020 due to these messages, and when the reasons for his ban on Twitch were revealed in June 2024, many advertising partners ended their collaborations, friends distanced themselves from him, YouTube demonetized his channel and even his own gaming studio ended its collaboration with DrDisrespect.
At that time, it was said that they initially suspected his innocence, then spoke to people, and decided to terminate the collaboration with DrDisrespect immediately.
DrDisrespect learned live on YouTube in June 2024 that his studio was parting ways with him. The news apparently caught him off guard. He still seemed to think that he could just wait for the trouble to pass.

Studio leaves DrDisrespect cold

They amicably parted ways with DrDisrespect and will always be grateful for what he did for the project. However, the focus is on releasing Deadrop in 2025.
Currently, the studio is in crisis mode; without the star DrDisrespect, the previous budget planning seems to no longer work, and they already had to take countermeasures and lay off many employees.
