The end of Season 17 in Diablo 3 is in sight. The start of Season 18 follows shortly after. Everything you need to know.
When does Season 17 end? In the forums of Diablo 3, Community Manager Nevalistis has now announced that S17 will end on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Here in Germany, it is supposed to be finished at 5:00 PM.
You have less than two weeks left to fulfill your goals for the season. This could be worthwhile for you because if you complete all 9 chapters of the Season journey, you will receive galactic wings.
When does Season 18 start? The developers did not want to reveal an exact start date yet. It is said that they will announce the date when they release the preview for Season 18. And that is supposed to happen before the end of Season 17.
It is suspected that after the end of S17, there will be about a week to two weeks of pause before the new season begins.
Season 18 could start on August 23 or August 30.
This is happening in S18: The new chapter will start with Patch 2.6.6. And here Blizzard has come up with some changes to make the game interesting.
The strengthening effect for S18 brings a Magical Buff that can manifest in three forms. It is a strengthening circle that either
- increases the damage bonus by 100%
- reduces resource costs by 50%
- or reduces the cooldown faster
when players stay in this circle. The idea behind it is that the Season buff should be helpful for all players – no matter how far they have progressed in the current season.
Additionally, a new Legendary gem will come into play that has captivated players. With the “Legacy of Dreams” gem, players receive the buff from Legacy of Nightmares. Instead of wearing two rings, you can comfortably wear one gem. The Legacy of Dreams is likely to define Season 18.
