In The Elder Scrolls Online, houses come with the free update “Homestead.” We take a look at the dwellings.
The Elder Scrolls Online announced housing at the end of 2016, and the “Homestead” expansion is already on the test server. The basic idea behind housing is: The player buys “prefab houses” or “apartments” that are located in fixed places in the world and then furnishes them.
This starts with relatively “normal” apartments, a personal spot in the inn, and ends with huge villas, where even kings from Westeros would say: Okay, this is a bit over the top, isn’t it?

The homes are “account-bound,” meaning your little twinks can also move in if dad sponsors it. The homes can be paid for with gold or crowns, although we do not yet know the crown prices. Currently, everything is still on the PTS, so it can still change, but … most of it will surely go live like that.
Some homes also require quests.
The player can decorate and furnish these individual homes. Furnishing items are available through crafting or achievements. Some can also be simply purchased.

YouTuber Deltia’s Gaming has presented the individual accommodations in a video series. We want to present you with a selection of his videos. The beginning features apartments in the price range of 11,000 to 13,000 gold. Before that, there are smaller accommodations. Those are just little rooms in taverns. But here are the apartments:

Everything looks relatively normal. We are jumping straight into a higher price class for “Large Homes,” which range from 760,000 to 1,295,000 gold. This is how the millionaires live in ESO.
Above them are even more expensive estates starting from 3 million or those that are only available in the crown store. These are the villas of the super-rich – if there were RTL2 in Tamriel, surely some reality shows would be filmed here:
Such estates also require suitable decor like the Ruby Throne. This is tied to achievements. Anyone who wants to place it in their house must have been emperor once. You can also hang an “Elder Scroll” in your house when you have reached the corresponding rank.
