The Elder Scrolls Online is getting a full-fledged expansion set in the region of Vvardenfell. The island was once the site of the legendary The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
It was already clear for a long time thanks to various datamining leaks, but now it is official since the latest live stream from ZeniMax: The Elder Scrolls Online is getting the region of Vvardenfell from the province of Morrowind as new content. What is new is that Morrowind will not be a small DLC package, but a full expansion!
The first major expansion for ESO
This means that The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will not only include a few new skills and quests. Rather, you will receive, along with the entire Vvardenfell island from the original Morrowind, an additional hero named “Warden” and also the long-awaited structured PvP mode on the so-called battlegrounds.
The new hero should fill an important gap by acting as a kind of druid and ranger, summoning a hefty war bear as a combat pet. As an add-on, you can also buy ESO: Morrowind as a physical version in stores. The full version of ESO is already included, and you can also jump right into the ESO world as newcomers by purchasing the add-on.
There will even be a hefty Collector’s Edition. The add-on The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One on June 6, 2017.
Attention! We were recently live at ZeniMax and spoke with ESO head Matt Firor about Morrowind and were able to see quite a bit of the new expansion. Therefore, more articles about the contents of the Morrowind expansion will follow soon, for example, about the new Warden class or the PvP battlegrounds. So stay tuned!
